What's the Buzz? (Let me tell you what's a happening)

Congratulations to everyone who got my Jesus Christ Superstar reference!

The weeks have just been zooming by and everyone has been so caught up with school (midterms and assignments and group projects...nice) and work and rehearsal that it's been hard to find a moment to write a blogpost. But this dark Monday evening seems like a perfect time to catch you up on what we've been doing the past couple weeks.

Rehearsals have been running quite smoothly (for the most part!) Scenes are flowing better now that the characters are no longer holding scripts.  It's been a bit of a struggle to rehearse the big dance numbers because we don't have rehearsal space BUT where there's a will, there's a way and we definitely found a way! It's amazing how big you can make your living room if you move all the furniture away. It's in little moments-like when I see everyone waltzing around a crowded living room-when I realize what a truly special group of people we have.  It literally warms my heart right up to see everyone singing and dancing and being so in love with musical theatre that they are willing to give up their Friday night to rehearse or give up precious studying/sleeping/socializing time (I call it the 3 S's) on Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

One of my favorite things, (other than rain drops on roses and whiskers on kittens) is THE HARMONIES! They really transform a song from something quite ordinary into something extraordinary! We can't wait for you to hear them! Also, it's pretty fun to watch all the girls catwalk across the room in their best model impressions for one of our numbers. So much sass and attitude-it's great! GIRL POWER.
